"Hot enough to fry an egg? Hot enough to fry your bear's brain. Please leave your pets at home."?
Call him "The Diggster" and get Wil Wheaton to do the voice over. |

It's sad to see legitimate pursuits and work being derided. Yes, it's important to watch where stimulus funds go, but that oversight isn't being done comprehensively. Instead, media outlets are attacking particular small-time expenditures for the purpose of creating controversy or (even worse) at the behest of special-interest groups.Perhaps the best example is the hoopla over expenditures on small airports. Small airports and general aviation are critical to this country, and have languished for decades with NO repairs or improvements in many cases. Hm, what a coincidence that on the day that a fake "watchdog" group releases an ignorant "study" about small-airport expenditures, commercial airlines go on a prepared offensive against general aviation in an attempt to void paying their fair share for next-generation air-traffic control.GA is not about rich people toying around in planes. In many cases it's the only option remote communities and businesspeople have for getting anywhere to do actual business that creates jobs. Just ask the states where thousands (if not tens of thousands) of people are out of work because of the PR fiasco created by auto executives decision to fly on private planes to Washington. You combine that with the land developers paying off local city governments to encroach upon and shut down airports, in conjunction with the jerkoffs who buy cheap houses that were built too close to the airport and then bitch about the noise... and you get a few people destroying a once-great nationwide transportation system one airport at a time. For their own short-term gain and a permanent loss for everyone else.So let's be a little smarter about scrutinizing stimulus funds, and make sure you read these stories critically.
