| I agree actually. Prior to Obama the United States looked terrible, but Obama was such a dramatic change in America's politics. If the United States continues with this liberal trend, Obama will have historically been the face of the new movement. For that alone, Obama would be considered in the History books as a "good president." |

90% of the ice is correct. But the issue here is not mass, but total photons absorbed/reflected. If you look at the northern anomaly AND at the southern anomaly, you will find that there is a net gain. And the size of that net difference is growing slowly.
It is free, it works, and besides people on slashdot no one cares or will notice.

I was pleased to see that this article started off with a reference to the YTMND I made several years ago, Arnold Shares his Deepest Feelings. But unfortunately, of a sentiment which many of you have already expressed, it made me pretty furious to see this list comprised simply of the highest 10 Top Viewed YTMNDs, most of which are absolutely awful excuses for YTMND sites. So I decided to express my concern on the comments section.Because that blog author decided my criticism of his awful list was in need of censorship, I'll present it in its entirety as it was before it he removed my comment from the page."Well thanks for mentioning my Arnold site. But let's take a closer look at what you posted here: Oh, let's see: The Pi site, the Emo Song site, How to Prank a ***** Telemarketer? Did you invest any time in this but to gleam the top 10 from the list of Top Viewed sites? Oh, no, that's exactly what you did. http://www.ytmnd.com/browse/top_viewed/alltimeNevermind that a little bit of research would have you discover that this pathetic excuse for a list barely scratches the surface of what YTMND's massive amount of content has to offer in terms of both creativity and hilarity.Well thanks for mentioning my Arnold site. I'm not sure why he didn't address my criticism right there on the comments page, probably because his main argument involved the belittlement of his very own userbase. I posted his email along with my followup:"While I appreciate your prompt response Nick, I think it's more fitting that we discuss the article here in the open rather than through private channels. For the rest of the viewers, this is what I received from the author in my email several minutes ago:----------Hey. Thanks for the feedback on my article about YTMND. To explain why it's simply a guide to the top 10 pages: It's for Urlesques' readers, who haven't necessarily even heard of YTMND. While I'm obviously glad that the article landed on Digg, the piece wasn't actually targeted at those much more net-savvy readers. They just chose to come over to Urlesque to see a beginner's guide.I've used YTMND for about six years now, and I love finding new variations on ***** Stole My Bike, I whack off to Stephanie from Lazytown photoshopped onto Natalie Portman in Closer, and I have a whole iTunes playlist culled from the Cosby remixes. (My personal favorite is the Dr. Dre mashup.) But the only way that anyone should get to all that good stuff is by actually spending some time on YTMND, not reading some top-10 bored-at-work list.I mean god, would you actually want AOL users invading YTMND and making non-ironic Miley Cyrus pages and stuffing the Most Viewed list with their Twitter-promoted *****? Obviously not.----------To which I respond:If your readers aren't net-savvy enough to know the ins and outs of YTMND, surely they can expect a veteran of 6 years of the site to be able to point them in the right direction. Instead, you linked them a list of sites that are mostly worthless and hated by the YTMND community at large. It's a ridiculous misrepresentation of the website itself, even more so considering your claim of them being the "Best" of "All Time." If you are really as familiar with the site as you claim to be, you're doing these viewers a huge disservice by knowingly exposing them to this garbage instead of the actual quality content. And anyone who's been actually paying attention for the past six years would clearly know the difference. And I'd argue that by doing this you're actually MORE likely to spread a disease of lackluster users/content throughout the site by inducting all these anonymous viewers of your blog with the WORST examples of highly trafficked sites consisting simply of stolen content; congratulations, your beloved AOL users and Twitter attention whores are now more likely to think YTMND.com is a cool place to go post YouTube rips and other worthless garbage.by:// AndySavage - Oct 16th 2009"The author has yet to respond.

Just modified my mortgage to a 5 year fixed 3.99% APR with bi-weekly payments amortized over 30 years with the option to extend at the end of the 5 years (or anytime before that really). I would say the mortgage market right now is EXTREMELY good (if you have good credit). |
