NanoSonic’s 2016 Academic Scholarship Winner
Congratulations to Wesley Meredith for winning NanoSonic’s competitive 2016 Science and Technology Scholarship. Wesley is a member of Giles High School Class of 2016 and attended the Southwest Virginia Governor’s School. He will attend Bridgewater College this Fall to study Biochemistry and Business. Wesley plans to pursue a career in Pediatric Medicine. NanoSonic is pleased to add Wesley to our list of Scholarship Awardees and we wish him much success in his academic pursuits.
NanoSonic’s scholarship is awarded to a college or trade school-bound senior who has shown exemplary achievement and interest in the field of science and technology. A candidate is chosen from one of six public Virginia schools: Narrows High School, Giles High School, Blacksburg High School, Auburn High School, Eastern Montgomery High School or Christiansburg High School – with a total enrollment of approximately 4,000 students, about one-quarter of whom are seniors who might qualify. Special consideration is given to students majoring in science or technology, with a secondary preference based on need.
